A lady who brought herself up in the bogs of the profound South turns into a suspect in the homicide of a man she was once engaged with.

Kya Clark, also called the Marsh Girl by the residents of Barkley Cove, is puzzling and wild. Deserted by her family, Where the Crawdads Sing is an approaching old enough story of a little kid raised by the marshlands of the south in the 50's. Watching numerous years past, when the town superstar is seen as dead, and mysteriously connected to Kya, the Marsh Girl is the great suspect in his homicide case.
